insider's tips to wedding entertainment
  • Book Early - To avoid disappointment
  • Checkout the Set List - Make sure the entertainment is suitable to your tastes.
  • Check for hidden extras! - Some bands charge travelling and other expenses and often don't quote this up front. insider's original quote to you is what you pay!
  • Check the venue is suitable - It's all very well booking a band but to find out on the night that you'll have to turn the volume down by 10pm might rain on your bonfire a tad!
  • Setup Times - It takes time to setup and to setdown at the end of the night, ensure the venue are aware of this.
  • Word of Mouth - Get some feedback from previous clients if possible, or check out any guest books. insider have a guestbook and can supply emails of previous clients.
  • Get a Package Deal! - It's cheaper to get your gas and electricity from the same supplier, so, getting your band and disco from the same people saves you cash! We normally quote the price including disco!
  • Tailor the disco - Decide what you want to hear at YOUR disco and then let the DJ know! Don't put the whole set down but you could list say 10-20 tracks that you want to hear. Or simply list a few genres that your keen or not keen on, eg. loves 70's hate 80's or plenty of glam rock and euro trance and not so much urban hip hop! :)   Alternatively you can just leave it to the DJ. insider normally cater for a general crowd aging from 1 - 100 so there's usually something there to amuse and entertain all!
  • First Dance - When you've decided on your first dance let the DJ know well in advance. If you plan on bringing the track yourself make sure in advance that the DJ can play the media you plan to bring. You may be disappointed when we can't play your 8 track quadraphonic cassette! Some your posh doo's also have additional dances with parents, in laws, brothers, sisters, cousins, 2nd cousins, 3rd cousins, and uncle Bobs! That's fine just don't let it take over your night. Once again let the DJ know in advance your plans and the music required.
  • Enjoy - When you realise you've been up since 4am been rushing round for the last 6 weeks and stressed more than an over inflated balloon, then it's time to sit back and enjoy your hard work.
